Pada hari Sabtu 19 Juni 2021 dinas pariwisata Kota Blitar mengunjungi Desa Soso untuk menggali UMKM yang ada di Desa. Desa Soso merupakan salah satu desa dengan berbagai UMKM yang menjadi sumber perekonomian masyarakat Desa Soso. UMKM tersebut juga menjadi sarana promosi desa, untuk memperkenalkan hasil dan potensi UMKM Desa Soso kepada masyarakat luar. Salah satu UMKM yang terkenal dan sudah berkembang di Desa Soso adalah Rengginang. UMKM tersebut berada di depan Kantor Desa Soso. Menurut pemilik UMKM Rengginang, konsumennya tidak hanya berasal dari Kota Blitar namun juga dari luar kota. Produksi Rengginang tidak hanya saat ada pesanan saja, namun selalu habis dikarenakan banyaknya konsumen dan peminat Rengginang tersebut dari berbagai daerah di luar kota Blitar.
Beberapa produk UMKM yaitu Jenang dan pernak pernik (Gelang & Kalung) dari Genitri (Dokumen Pribadi)
Perwakilan dari Dinas Pariwisata Kota Blitar didampingi oleh Bapak Sutjipto selaku Kepala Dusun Soso, tiga perwakilan mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Negeri Malang yaitu Yoga Pratama Putra, Wahyu Tri Baskoro Aji dan Wilda auwalina Istigfarin. Kunjungan tersebut dilaksanakan mulai pukul 09:00 WIB hingga pukul 11:00 WIB. Kunjungan pertama dilakukan pada UMKM gula kelapa, milik Bapak Supar. Dalam kunjungan tersebut pemilik UMKM Gula Kelapa menjelaskan mengenai proses pembuatan Gula Kelapa, mulai dari proses pengambilan cairan legen hingga pencetakan gula menggunakan batok kelapa. Selain UMKM Gula Kelapa, pihak kedinasan juga mengunjungi UMKM madumangsa/jenang, pijat terapi, aneka keripik, pernak-pernik dari Genitri dan juga Pande Besi yang dipercaya jika ternak disandingkan dengan sisa kotoran dari besi tersebut akan terbebas dari hama yang menyerang hewan ternak.
